
Anastasia Baranova
Born in Moscow and bred in California, Anastasia brings a worldly perspective to all of her creative pursuits.
Her career in front of the camera began at age seven as a model in Russia, but it was during her move to California in 2000 that she landed her first acting gig — the title role in NBC/Discovery Kids series, Scout's Safari.
Anastasia lived on location in South Africa while filming the Daytime Emmy-nominated program, which continues to air on Discovery Kids since its 2003 debut.

Since her international beginnings as an actress, Anastasia homed in on Hollywood, landing roles on TV series including Sons of Anarchy, 90210, Malcolm in the Middle, 7th Heaven, Drake & Josh, and Joan of Arcadia, along with a recurring role on cult favorite, Veronica Mars.
Her work in film includes the critically-acclaimed festival hit The Sublime and Beautiful, directed by Blake Robbins. Additionally, she performs as a Voice Over actor for video games, radio, film and television.
With a versatile resume built throughout her teen and adult years, Anastasia was honored in Backstage.com's inaugural "Backstage 30," an annual list of actors on the brink of stardom.
Anastasia can currently be seen in Syfy’s hit zombie drama, Z Nation, where she plays zombie killer “Addy."
Z Nation has drawn impressive ratings in its Friday night time slot for Syfy, and returns for its second season later this year, with Addy — and Anastasia — in tow.
Anastasia has been privileged to study with some of LA’s best acting teachers, including Piero Dusa of the Piero Dusa Acting Conservatory, Gary Austin (original Groundlings founder) Josh Bitton (HBO’s The Pacific) at the Acting Corps, and Rob Brownstein at the famed Beverly Hills Playhouse.
An artist at heart, creativity and contribution are her greatest passions. She is a photographer, painter, writer, and singer.
The most pivotal experience in her life came in 2011 when she discovered the world of Transformation through Emotional Intelligence, and underwent an intense process of personal transformation.
Since then, her philosophy and approach to life has become rooted in the pursuit of authenticity, the importance of service to humanity, and the value of being a life-long student of love.
In 2014 she mentored two Leadership programs with M.I.T.T. in Los Angeles, working with over 100 leaders on their own journey of transformation as they were creating extraordinary results in their personal and professional lives, and their community at large.
In 2012, Anastasia was chosen as one of the “Backstage 30,” an annual list of actors on the brink of stardom.
